@hikari still palying CS:Source?

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

(replying to Kevin Karhan :verified:)

@kkarhan I never get to really play it, but I have a great fondness for the maps still. it appeals to me a lot more than CS:GO ever did

@hikari because it was more simpler and used FYSIX?

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

(replying to Kevin Karhan :verified:)

@kkarhan oh, I love the physics, but it's mostly the art style. cs:go feels too visually busy to me, somehow

@hikari some people dream of their childhood home, i dream of gm_construct in its source 2007 iteration

cs_office's strangely cluttered parking garage with all-important connecting sniper room

a comfy corner with broken glass, a ladder, a snowman, and the 3d skybox. what more could you want?

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

this little passage (cs_office again) feels so Source.

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

(replying to Trif)

@trif oh yes, but it's also the lighting and textures

a lovely hallway in cs_office, and one of the most realistic bins in a game

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

desks in cs_office. office items are a great fit for making virtual environments seem less empty, right? graphics cards are good at rendering boxy things.

@hikari someone should go find a bunch of real life buildings that look like bits of cs_office, take photos, then superimpose the hands and weapon

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

(replying to Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many))

ceilings, sky-textured

(in the Source engine, the sky is just another wall)

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

(replying to Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many))

the buildings in cs_office's 3d skybox work really nicely with the tall windows in this room that has two of the hostages

no map in a Source game is complete without concrete, crates, pipes, barrels, and plenty of rust. cs_office is no exception.

Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many)

(replying to Kanbaru 🌟 (one hikari of too many))

but most importantly: cs_office has plenty of physics objects. a true Source game map
