bonus tidbit re: Domination (1998): if you notice me messing up the typing in the terminal a lot , i promise it's not because i'm bad at typing. i think they actually implemented the horrible keyboard input handling that i think i've heard the Apple II has(?). WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS DELIBERATELY

i have written my first effect control SysEx MIDI message for my Roland SC-7!!! :3
i calculated the checksum by hand. the data was "00 00 00 00" so it was very difficult as you can see

@eater there was no specific inspiration for the song, but the SC-7 does have a very early 90's sound, and I have been listening to a bunch of game soundtracks from that time on this, so I can't disagree with that description

Ok I've been a professional musician for over 30 yrs & honestly I've heard so much worse from a whole buncha much more experienced folks.
And even though it's melodically & harmonically kind of awkward, there's a few sweet moves in there so you're totally headed in the right direction.
Also, rhythmically it's perfect & you've put the structure together beautifully. :)
You're obviously talented, please keep at it?
