oh, so when i type on discord i tend to deliver pauses in speech by separating them into separate messages? so my usage of periods and elipsis and so on in tweets is literally a representation of the rhythm of speech? that's kinda cool

@r @hikari tangentally related, reminds me of how some prefer splitting conversations into many channels/chats vs dealing with multiple conversations in parallel in one chatroom

the kinda habits/preferences/skills one builds from what boils down to (essentially) technical limitations is fascinating

@firefly @hikari yeah, we find the "new generation" of chat apps with multiple subchannels and hidden reply threads unusable

@r @firefly i think i'm pretty ambidextrous and manage to handle all of these spaces but there's kind of an extreme case of each that's really insufferable
