@hikari I know some of the terms I picked up from the western anime fandom is basically made up from whole cloth using entry-level japanese.

I'm pretty sure Shōjo-ai as counterpart to Shōnen-ai is a western invention, and the japanese and western fandoms seem to have vastly different ideas of what a kigurumi typically is, with the western fandom calling the full bodysuit + face mask cosplay variant Animegao.
