political belief that probably makes me unelectable: it is a good thing if police have limited resources and can't actually enforce all the laws on the books, instead having to focus on relatively more impactful crimes

@hikari In theory yes, in practice cops are not particularly good at maximizing their impact

can you imagine what an awful world we'd be living in if every instance of drug possession or copyright infringement was prosecuted? that's why i don't want a mass surveillance society.
