@saagar i'm supposedly going to switch to lunix in the near future so i'll need to decide on which questionably stable nightmare distro to use

@hikari I have a Chromebook with elementary on it somewhere that I use occasionally, but only because it’s mildly pleasant to use and based on Ubuntu LTS which is what CTF challenges typically use

@hikari I don’t think I could stand using Nix on any system I actually do work on. I specifically wiped my server (which had Ubuntu) and put Nix on it so I wouldn’t be tempted to “just try something on it real quick”

@saagar one possibility is that i make my own exciting new nightmare distro, but i'm already at risk of open-source maintainer burnout

@hikari You can make a closed-source distro, except I guess you’d have to provide the source if you ever gave it to anyone. So don’t distrib–wait
